I stayed at The Landis Taipei in September before I started a tour of Taiwan and again when I finished my tour. On my second visit, I was fortunate enough to be upgraded to an Executive Suite which was a very welcome surprise. From the moment I stepped in to the hotel it was like stepping back in time. I was greeted by the doorman who was dressed in top hat, waist coat and tails who made me feel most welcome. It is clear how The Landis Taipei reached its 5-star rating. The lobby itself brings glamour, luxury and order and has clearly been designed with the sophisticated French art deco style in mind. There are rich and deep colors throughout the lobby giving a sense of opulence and grandeur. There are bold geometric shapes on the doors of the three lifts in the lobby as well as the floor. The theme is carried through to The Brasserie, where the plentiful breakfast buffet is served. There is a wide selection of well-presented food on display which caters for both the Asian clientele as well as the others. Excellent coffee is endless with the hospitality staff (all dressed in the French maid attire) are attentive in providing re-fills as required. The rooms are large and clean with extremely comfortable beds. The linen is crisp and white and well maintained and there is a choice of pillows on the bed ranging from soft to medium hard. Rooms come equipped with i-Pads, flat screen TVs and tea and coffee making facilities. The hotel as joined in the quest to protect the environment by not providing disposable amenities will no longer be offered. Bathroom amenity packs can be purchased for a nominal fee, or can be purchased from one of the local convenience stores nearby. The Landis Taipei is a fabulous hotel which I would recommend to anyone who wanted to step back in time and feel a sense of warmth and welcoming. It is definitely the place I will return to when if I visit Taiwan in the future.

Highly recommended. perfect stay in Taipei. me and my wife had a wonderful experience at our 3 nights stay in Landis, first thing I love the most is the toilet and bath super clean and modern. I am very particular about the toilet cleanliness. The room was comfy, bed and all amenities such as wardrobe, entertainment w/ Sony TV and Bose speakers. We understand that they support an environmental friendly hotel so no toiletries provided except for the towel, shampoo, bodywash, conditioner and tissue paper. The staff were very helpful, one morning I ask them to reheat my food which bought outside so they assisted and also, help me do the photocopying of my documents which I really need. Indeed, a pleasant stay for a reasonable price compared to other 5 star hotel, btw transportation is also accessible by bus across the hotel and by MRT Zhongzheng Elementary School station 5 mins walk.

Highly recommend this hotel for a short stay in Taipei! It's not within walking distance of the key attractions/areas but it is a short bus ride/uber ride away from most places. Service and staff were incredible - highly efficient, helpful and very good service during our stay. We had an early check-in, recommendations/planning suggestions for the next few days and taxi booked to the airport all sorted within 10 minutes due to the staff's capabilities! Room itself was very clean, modern and tastefully decorated. I liked the lighting features of the room! Bed was very comfortable, there were soft and firm pillows to choose from (little touches like this go a long way). Very well-equipping gym on the top floor of the hotel and there's a yoga room too

We only stayed a single night, but we loved the experience. Our room was well-designed, super clean, and the bed and bath all very comfortable. It had a nice view, a seating area, and it was quiet, despite being located on a major street. In fact, the location is great, as the hotel is located just a short walk from the yellow MTR line and in an area full of restaurants and cafes. The staff were professional and accommodating. Can warmly recommend and would definitely go back.

Florian

the location is convenient as the train station is about 350m from the hotel. It is away from the noisy night market and we have good night sleep. though the staff were helpful we find it strange that the house keeping did not top up the shower gel which ran out in one of the nights. the gym equipment was a bit old and should be changed for 5 star hotel
